I'm not sure about that 3800, but dang does the work look clean. It's a pretty great turnkey show car for the price.

3800's are fine, so long as you take care of them. Mine didn't fare so well, but that's what happens when you have 4 owners not give a fuck about changing oil and whatnot. And it still gave me 200k miles before calling it quits.
IB4T 'Coulda' hada' V8'. LS1s are available for almost nothing, but if you have less than almost nothing, then a 3800 isn't a bad choice. I'll be honest and say I'd sooner turn to Japan than the US for a six car project, but I know all the usual suspects aren't going to be anywhere near as cheap as a 3800 would be.

Wow, very cool. Love the body style of the MGBs, and the wheel choice is pretty nice to.

Wow that looks very well done, didn't know you can modify a Series 2 3800 for RWD applications but I guess anything will work with a T5. Speaking of, I love the high shifter in there too. NP for someone who wants to be different!

I was just thinking of weight. It's kindof a boat anchor, isn't it?

Mk2 supra wheels are the best looking OEM 4 spokes hands down.

Wikipedia says 392 lb . That's no worse than an aluminum LS1 would have been. 'Shrugs'.
For contrast, a K20A is about 100lb or so less. A 2jz-gte is about 600lb . Wow...that's...not light. LOL. a Vq35 is 300 lb. I can't believe a Vq is almost 1/2 a 2jz in weight, though to be fair the 2jz was engineered in the 90s, which may as well be a billion years ago.

You don't need to mod them at all. Some of them came out of the factory that way.

8/10 would rock. I would have gone with a different color but this looks really nice!

6500? np all day long. Very very clean install and mods. That would be a fantastic fun car, that even seems like it would be fairly practical.

Ha, I had no idea the 2jz was so heavy. Yeah, I guess the 3800 wouldn't be such a bad choice, after all. The BMC I6 in the original 6 cyl MGB was a 2.9, so I was just assuming based on the displacement.
I think the Vq35 might be the best choice, but you're probably right about the cost.

I'm a big fan of that green, actually. Probably not for a daily (seems like it would fade and such), but it's appropriately loud.

You're right on a car like this it kinda works. I don't hate it; I just might have gone with a more predictable BRG. If I bought it, I doubt I'd want to change the color.

Google failed me :( Looks like this was was the F-Body V6 eh? Either way 205hp and 230lb/ft is pretty good for a little mg b

Never seen one of these before. The front looks an awful lot like a Datsun 240... I approve.

Also, I would imagine that the 2JZ weighs so much because it's extremely overengineered to take the amount of abuse that tuners throw at it.

Definetley top 3, my No.2 would be the Mitsubishi Starion wheels.
